Blackgum is an excellent medium sized tree that is often overlooked
in the landscape. Leaves are glossy dark green turning bright orange

ripen in September and are eaten by many
birds. Blackgum makes an excellent street,
lawn or shade tree and can be used in a
forest planting for wildlife.
