Concolor or white fir, is an important ornamental because of its graceful form and large sprays of bluish-gray foliage. Needles are flattened, thick, leathery, and tend to point upwards. Cones are only located near the top of the tree and are found on the upper sides of the branches, pointing upward rather than hanging down. Used for ornamental plantings and Christmas trees.
