Small native tree with attractive pink to lavender flowers in late April
to early May, heart-shaped leaves through the summer, and brown, 2-3” seed
pods in the fall and winter. Stems have a zigzag appearance. Redbud can
be used as a lawn tree, specimen tree or in woodland plantings.
