Habitat: Part shade to full sun, will grow in most well-drained soils. Drought, heat and salt tolerant.
Notes: Drought resistant, juglone tolerant, browsed by deer.

This native conifer is good for screening and in hedgerows or windbreaks. Only female plants produce the blue berries that attract birds. Avoid planting near apple orchards as redcedar is the alternate host for cedar-apple rust.
